The Neuromuscular Program at Stanford Health Care provides comprehensive assessment for the diagnosis and care of common and rare neuromuscular disorders. Clinical neuromuscular evaluations are combined with sophisticated testing, including autonomic, genetic, electrophysiological, imaging, biopsy and serological tests, not available in most neurology clinics. Our specialists are nationally recognized experts in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, and are actively investigating neuromuscular disorders to find new, more effective treatments.
The Neuromuscular Program offers:
• Sophisticated diagnostic testing, and interpretation of results by experienced neuromuscular clinicians.
• Neurologists and neuropathologists with extensive experience in developing personalized treatment plans.
• Family-based care for hereditary neuromuscular conditions, treating multiple generations with a seamless transition from childhood to adult care.
• Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) designated clinic with an on-site coordinator to help patients’ access support services.
